Rockers, Bouncers, and Sleepers (aka Baby Containers)

Rock N Play – The cult classic. If it doesn’t work for you, you can easily resell or gift it.

Dex Daydreamer Baby Sleeper – It looks like this product is no longer in production (I got it as a hand-me-down), but this one is similar. We used this from 3mo – 6mo (once she started rolling over). It was great for naps and for nighttime. We placed it on the floor for nighttime, and on the middle of our king-sized bed for naps.

Baby Bjorn Bouncer Seat – I love how low tech and simple this seat is. No need to plug anything in, and the cover is so easy to remove and wash. It also folds down pretty flat so it’s easy to store. Our baby did not really sleep in this, but it was great for giving her a nice seat so she could hang out with the rest of the family.

Happi Tummi Waistband for Colic Relief – A wonderful, simple, drug-free invention to soothe your baby’s tummy. Also the reason why we had a microwave in the master bedroom for the first 3 months of baby’s life.

Aden + Anais Security Blanket – The only lovey we found that was light enough to breathe through, in case baby put it over her face. Not recommended for newborns.
